Students at Holy Name, Convent, Point Fortin - Form 4 Class
As the students folowed the step by step process explained by the librarian, they complained that it was difficult to navigate and they mentioned that they preferred to do a google search.
However, some teachers mentioned it is a useful database.  At this school, EBSCHOHOST is used more by teachers who are pursuing their degree, rather than by students.

  1. EBSCHOHOST database is one of the largest database with many multidisciplinary subjects. This allows for interaction with academic and non academic persons, as well as audio visual users. Therefore, according to Standards of learning, any user is able to access the database and use the facility in any format. For example, users not interested in research can access the "how-to use-it' module. This module can be utilized by an independent learner or in collaboration with a teacher.
Learning can take place in a classroom with a teacher, using this tool as a teaching and learning aid or students are free to browse at their convenient time.

    1. EBSCOHOST has made searching too cumbersome for new users and this pushes many young researchers to opt for'easier' searching sites.Quality of content is not their primary concern, they just want to get it done!

  2. EBSCOHOST has assisted me in my undergraduate research in several subject areas like Agribusiness,Nutrition,Biochemistry and Sports Medicine. I will continue to use this program now that I'm pursuing my graduate research and recommend the database to my friends for valid and reliable information we can count on for our academic purposes
